The symposium will be held in the framework of the XXXIX RSEF Physics Biennial will be held in Donostia/San Sebastián from July 15 to 19, 2024.

Over the last decade, the research on molecular biophysics has flourished remarkably, encompassing a broad range of research topics. Amongst others, the two fields of charge transfer through biosystems and single-biomolecule manipulation through e.g., optical or magnetic tweezers stand out due to the significant interest they have sparked, enabling the understanding of biomolecular processes and their exploitation for biomedical applications. The primary objective of this symposium is to bridge these two productive yet non-interacting communities, in order to foster a mutually-beneficial collaboration between ideally  complementary partners, thus further expanding the frontiers of research in biophysics.
