As part of a multi-year strategic hiring plan, the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Utah invites applications from outstanding candidates for three tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in theoretical high energy or condensed matter physics. Exceptional candidates for a higher rank will also be considered. We seek candidates who also show promise as effective educators and mentors, and who will contribute positively to a diverse and inclusive environment within the department and at the University of Utah. The expected start date is August 1, 2022. Complete applications must be received by November 15, 2021.
