A post-doctoral position in condensed matter theory is open in the Theory Lab of INAC/SPSMS, CEA Grenoble for a period of one year, possibly renewable for a second year.
The successful candidate will work on non equilibrium quantum transport in correlated mesoscopic devices involving current noise, local density of states and spin manipulation in quantum dots. Potential interest is on experiments realized at LETI/DCOS and INAC/SPSMS/LaTEQs at CEA Grenoble on Silicon based nanoelectronic devices with applications to quantum information technology. Candidates are expected to have expertise in quantum many-body techniques. Knowledge in quantum transport theory (non equilibrium Green function technique) is welcome.
The research will take place in the group of Mireille Lavagna in collaboration with Adeline Crépieux (CPT, Marseille), Cristina Bena (IPhT, CEA Saclay) and Yann-Michel Niquet (INAC/SP2M/L_Sim), and in connection with the experimentalists. Grenoble is a major center for physics in France with a very strong local scientific environment and is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
The application materials should include a CV, a short research summary, a list of publications and at least two recommendation letters to be sent by email to mireille.lavagna@cea.fr
Expected starting date is Spring 2016 but earlier start is possible.
