The condensed matter theory group at the University of Florida has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate, with the start date of August 2020. The successful candidate mainly work with Prof Yuxuan Wang, and interactions with faculty, postdocs and students, as well as the experimentalists, are encouraged. This postdoctoral position supports two years of funding, with the possibility of extension to a third year upon mutual agreement. The successful candidate will also be provided with travel funds to facilitate scientific collaboration and communication of ideas.
The condensed matter theory group at University of Florida is an active leader on a broad range of research areas, including unconventional superconductivity, quantum criticality, and topological phases of matter. Recent research topics of particular interest to us include topological superconductivity, higher-order topological phases, Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev models, and correlated phases in twisted bilayer graphene. Both analytical and numerical techniques are employed in research. More details of recent research can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/yuxuanwang111. We encourage applications from theorists of all specialties.
To apply, please submit an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae with complete publication list and a research statement. Three letters of reference should be arranged to be submitted electronically. To ensure full consideration, a complete application package needs to be received before 12/01/2019. University of Florida is an equal opportunity employer.
