The Department of Physics at the University of Virginia is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to do theoretical work in condensed matter physics.

The successful candidate will work on theoretical modeling and numerical simulations of strongly interacting electron systems. Experience with quantum field theory and quantum kinetic theory is preferable. The completion of a Ph.D. degree in Physics or closely related field by appointment start date is required. The appointment can be extended for up to three years, with the initial one-year appointment being extendable by two additional one- year terms, contingent upon satisfactory performance.
