The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota invites applications for one research associate position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a starting date as early as December 2016. Applicants are expected to have completed their PhD in physics or related areas before the starting date of the position. The successful candidate will work jointly in the research groups of Prof. Andrey Chubukov and Prof. Rafael Fernandes, and will be expected to interact with the condensed matter experimental groups of the University of Minnesota as well. Specific research topics include, but are not limited to, high-temperature superconductors, unconventional orders, quantum magnets, and Mott insulators.
