The Algorithms for Lattice Fermions (ALF) package is a flexible implementation of the auxiliary field quantum Monte Carlo method.   The new beta-version of the package  contains  many additional  features including   the projective algorithm,  various updating schemes, a larger library of models and a python interface (pyALF).

The ALF  workshop will take place online from the 5th-9th of October 2020.  Prior to the workshop, on Thursday October 1st, we will provide support for the installation.  The workshop is aimed at both beginners and advanced users of the package and consists of two parts:

Getting to Know ALF: installation and tutorial

ALF in Production: workgroup projects and advanced features

Users new to ALF will reach the second part of the workshop with a working installation and basic knowledge of the package. It’s also possible to attend only the second, more advanced part of the workshop.

The core of the event are hands-on sessions and therefore the participants use their own machines. In the second part of the workshop, participants will be able to form groups, work through simple projects and present their results on the last day of the event.
