- Research interests: My research work is at the intersection of quantum simulation, condensed matter, and machine learning. I have been working in the last years on phase classification assisted by machine learning, with a focus on the interpretability of the trained machine learning algorithms. I also work on several aspects related to quantum machine learning: the study of machine learning enhanced by a quantum simulator and the development of tools to characterize variational quantum circuits.

- Research interests: Our main research interest is focused on the design, synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of properties of reticular materials, such as metal-organic and covalent organic frameworks (MOFs and COFs). We combine synthetic and crystallographic expertise in the study of the structure-property relationship of these kinds of materials, including advanced structural analysis using experimental and computational techniques.

- Research interests: Magnetism and Magnetic Materials. Particularly interest in cylindrical nanowires grown by electrochemical route and magnetic microwires fabricated by rapid solidification techniques. Capability includes experimental techniques to: i) synthesize both magnetic wires: cylindrical nanowires with modulations in diameter and in composition (multilayer), and biphase multilayer microwires, ii) magnetic characterization in bulk (VSM, Fluxmetric, SQUID) and surface (magnetooptic Kerr effect and significantly Magnetic Force Microscopy), iii) measuring domain wall velocity and high-frequency response, including FMR up to 20 GHz, iv) Micromagnetic simulations of remagnetization processes, and v) Technology applications focused on sensing elements (i.e., field, current, temperature, stress sensors).

- Research interests: Our work is focused on ab initio modeling of different problems in Materials Science and Nanotechnology that involve forces and currents at the atomic scale. In particular, we try to understand and develop new capacities for the basic tools in Nanotechnology, the Scanning Probe Microscopes (SPMs), that enable us to use currents and forces to visualize and manipulate matter at the nanoscale. In this context, we are currently developing a project that combines ab initio simulations of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) images and deep learning techniques to achieve the chemical identification of molecular compounds from experimental AFM images.

Since a few years, I develop a research line of quantum artificial intelligence and quantum machine learning: Aiming at employing quantum devices to perform more efficient machine learning calculations, as well as employing machine learning to better control and analyze quantum systems.

- Research interests: The objective of the work is to explore numerical routes to determine the physical properties of polymers and biopolymers using machine learning techniques. In addition to ANN, we will also focus in other numerical approaches (clustering, vectorization, PCA) to correlate the structure and the physical properties of polymeric materials, as well as to better understand the molecular mechanisms involved in these behaviors.

- Research interests: The Barcelona Quantum Monte Carlo (BQMC) group at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) uses Monte Carlo (MC) tools to study of quantum many-bosy systems at zero and low temperatures. The main lines of research are:
