The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a research associate position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a starting date in the summer or fall of 2020. Applicants are expected to have completed their PhD in physics or related areas before the starting date of the position. The successful candidate will work in the research group of Prof. Rafael Fernandes, and will be expected to interact with the condensed matter experimental groups as well. Specific research topics include, but are not limited to, high-temperature superconductors, vestigial orders, quantum magnets, Mott insulators, and graphene.
