We are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the area of experimental condensed matter physics and nanoscience.
As the successful candidate, you will be expected to:
- conduct research in atomic-scale design of functional low-dimensional nanostructures on surfaces, characterised by low-temperature scanning probe microscopy, in situ optical measurements and synchrotron-based x-ray spectroscopies
- publish research outcomes in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, contribute to high-profile conferences and workshops
- assist in the supervision of MSc and PhD students.
To be considered, you must hold a PhD in experimental condensed matter physics, or a closely related field. Experience in scanning probe microscopy, ultra-high vacuum systems, X-ray surface science techniques and/or optics is highly desirable.
