Applications are invited for two postdoctoral positions on the theory of condensed matter systems. The positions allow considerable flexibility in research topics, but the grant has as its main themes: competing orders (superconductivity, CDW, SDW) in two-dimensional materials like transition metal dichalcogenides and oxides. One position will have a profile centred on first principle techniques and the other on quantum field theory and model Hamiltonians but intermediate profiles are also welcome. The positions are for two years at the Department of Physics of Sapienza University, ranked among the top Physics Departments in the world (https://www.usnews.com/education/best-global-universities/physics?page=2).
Postholders are expected to conduct research in collaboration with:

Direct enquiries about the role and applications should be sent to romepostdoc@gmail.com. Applications should contain a cv and the contacts of senior scientists who can provide recommendation letters (only upon our request). Earlier applications will be given higher priority. Interested candidates are encouraged to send the application immediately. Positions are expected to start before July 2020.
