The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Iowa State University (ISU) seeks candidates for a faculty position at a junior or senior level in theoretical condensed matter physics. Position responsibilities will include research and teaching. The principal research areas of interest include correlated electron systems, electronic structure, and the interactions between charge, magnetic, and electronic degrees of freedom in condensed matter, complementing strong experimental efforts in these areas within the Department and the Ames Laboratory, a National Laboratory operated by ISU for the U.S. Department of Energy.
