The Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness – MINEICO offers a predoc contract (former FPI) to carry out a PhD Thesis on “Molecular Biophysics of DNA repair nanomachines” at The National Center of Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC), Madrid. This fellowship is associated to the MINEICO grant/project BFU2017-83794-P.
The project will be about combining fluorescence and single-molecule techniques to study DNA-protein interactions involved in DNA repair processes and DNA manipulation. The project will be done at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnologia (CNB-CSIC, Madrid) under the supervision of Dr. Fernando Moreno-Herrero.
How to apply
Candidates should send an email to fernando.moreno@cnb.csic.es including a complete CV, and an academic certificate with marks and the mean mark of the degree before September 2018.
Candidates must have a Master´s degree either in Physics, Biology, Biophysics or related subjects by September 2018. Physicists with interests in biology or biologists interested in mechanics and biophysical processes and techniques are encouraged. A high level of English is required.
