The Nanobio Spectroscopy Group (www.nano-bio.ehu.es) at the Univ. of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, San Sebastian, Spain, offers a full-time postdoc position to work on theoretical and numerical developments of density functional theory for steady-state transport (Nano Lett. 15, p. 8020 (2015)) with a focus on transport through correlated systems. The position is available for two years and the starting date should be no later than January 1st, 2020.
Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent degree in physics or materials science. The candidate is required to be familiar with the foundations of density functional theory and previous experience in fundamental theoretical development of DFT will be highly welcome. Both coding and computational experience with standard DFT codes will be considered an advantage.
