Postdoctoral position in theoretical condensed matter and atomic physics at Louisiana State University
working with Prof. Daniel Sheehy and Prof. Ilya Vekhter.
Our research focuses on bulk and interface properties of correlated electron materials exhibiting unconventional superconductivity and magnetism, and on the physics of fermionic and bosonic cold atomic gases. The position offers opportunities for collaboration with experimentalists at LSU, and at other universities and national laboratories.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in the methods and techniques of many-body physics, including relevant analytical and computational skills. Preferred starting date for the position is June 2015. The initial appointment will be made for one year, with possible extension for another year subject to budgetary constraints. Applicants should submit their CV, list of publications, one-page description of research interests, as well as the names and contact information of three references via the website
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but those submitted by Feb. 20 will be guaranteed full consideration.
