The quantum matter group of Jan Zaanen and Koenraad Schalm at the Instituut Lorentz for Theoretical physics of Leiden University in the Netherlands expects to have openings for Postdoctoral Fellows. They are specifically looking for individuals who are interested to explore the cross roads of condensed matter physics, quantum information theory and string theory, aiming at the physics of strange metals as described by holographic duality.

The Instituut Lorentz is a vibrant research environment (see www.lorentz.leidenuniv.nl)  forming part of the Leiden department of physics (see http://www.physics.leidenuniv.nl) while it is embedded in the dutch excellence initiative Delta Institute for Theoretical Physics (see www.d-itp.nl).

The positions will have competitive salaries and will last for two years with a possible extension to a third year upon availability of funds. Candidates should send a CV (pdf file) containing a list of publications, a description  of main research achievements and arrange for three reference letters (contact details). Applications received by December 31, 2015 will receive full consideration.
